Shadow Tunnel

What’s that concrete sewer pipe doing up here in the Rif mountains? Colorful pieces of Fez crockery cover the old tube, left as waste in a ditch down in the valley. In its new unusual place, it has a mysterious, manyfold meaning. Has it been turned into binoculars to see through the environment, changed into a place to listen to nature, to shelter from the rain and the sun. A reminiscence and tribute as well to the shadow tunnels by Nancy Holt, one of the first famous works of land art. This is a shadow tunnel, choosing beauty over waste and which focuses all attention to the magical spectacle of the mountains, .
