On the site of the old ferry crossing the river Mosel, 5 lace-like wine barrels float on innertubes.
In the village of Winningen for centuries everything has been about growing grapes, but the wine industry has dramatically changed. Not only are the grapes picked by an immigrant workforce, export isn’t done on the river anymore, and almost without noticing, even the wine must have changed. We are left with a vague romantic memory, the ghost remnants now floating on the river.
