Waldnah

In the attic of the old slaughterhouses in Dresden, the venue of the Ostrale, the original structure of wooden beams is visible. These trees were sacrificed for the mass consumer needs of a big city. I saw the rythm of beams strongly connected to the forest where they originally came from.  I reproduced the beams with scotch tape and suspended them, as the ghosts of the trees they once were. And no forest is complete nowadays without a heap of carwheels…

Scotch tape.
