Fata Morgana

Three transparent figures rise from the ground, like a mirage. Their shape loosely refers to the old fashioned haystacks, but now you can see straight through. In their middle is a woven tube that goes into or comes out of the ground. A big branch protrudes from the top, like an antenna. It is the connection between above and below, out of the ground and into the ground. As haystacks have vanished by now from the European landscape, the sculptures are a poetic reminder of the small scale agriculture and the way we used to be connected to the earth for so long.
The work is ephemeral, but it will live on with the help of local farmers.
