When asked to design a temporary work for the wall of this theater in Brussels, the existence of Europe as a political unity was very much debated. Who or what is Europe, anybody knows? In the Greek mythology Zeus changes himself into a young bull to seduce and abduct the beautiful girl Europa. In this willow installation I reduced the bull to an archetypical skull. He chases Europa but she escapes, changing into a liquid form. As raindrops she dances down the wall.
